Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris did GOTV events in Detroit and Southfield, Nov. 3, 2020 | Andrew Roth
Vice President Kamala Harris’ scheduled visit to Detroit Monday has been postponed. Harris will depart Los Angeles Monday for Washington, D.C., on Monday, per the White House.
The White House did not give a reason for the trip’s delay, but metro Detroit has experienced major flooding amid recent storms.
Harris had planned to urge people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as part of the Biden administration’s push to have at least 70% of U.S. adults vaccinated by the Fourth of July.
Harris last appeared in Michigan on Election Day.
