Sen. Kamala Harris at a rally for former Vice President Joe Biden in Detroit, March 9, 2020 | Andrew Roth

Democratic vice presidential nominee U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris will be spending Election Day in Detroit, according to the campaign.

The Tuesday visit is part of a last-minute “get out the vote” effort by the campaign on Tuesday in three five key battleground states, including Michigan.

While Harris travels to Detroit, former Vice President Joe Biden will make visits in Scranton and Philadelphia. Former second lady Jill Biden will be traveling to Tampa and St. Petersburg, Fla., as well as Wake County, N.C.

Doug Emhoff, Harris’ husband, is slated to travel to Columbus, Ohio.

Tuesday will be Harris’ second trip to Michigan — and Detroit — in less than two weeks.
