President Donald Trump is returning to West Michigan this month.

The campaign announced Thursday evening that Trump will host a “Merry Christmas rally” at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek on Dec. 18.

“Michigan is booming thanks to President Trump and jobs are coming back to the state. Since President Trump’s election, Michigan has added 75,000 new jobs,” campaign spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement. “President Trump is delivering on his promises, and he looks forward to celebrating those successes with the great men and women of Michigan this Christmas season.”

Vice President Mike Pence has made multiple stops in Michigan in recent months — including on Wednesday — but Trump himself has been absent from the state since March.
